Kate Duke commissioned me to make her and her fiance's wedding programs, bar menu, and two table signs. Based on the samples she emailed me, I was able to see she was drawn to a soft, understated style. For this reason, I chose a gentle script typeface with very little embellishment and then pared it with a rounded sans serif typeface. The illustrations were hand done watercolors that I scanned into photoshop, altered to be different colors, and saved to have transparent backgrounds. I then opened each plant image into Illustrator to be positioned into the design you see. It was an honor and great joy to be a part of this important moment in their lives.
